This 2-day hands-on course will introduce you to the equipment, materials and techniques used for screen-printing onto paper and textile using a water-based ink system. You will be guided through a series of demonstrations along with one-to-one feedback allowing you to develop technical proficiency and confidence in your printmaking.
This course provides an insightful introduction to transferring an image from drawing and photograph to screen. It demonstrates how to prepare your screen and print for textiles using one type of ink system, generally used in the industry.
You will receive tailored advice based on your own particular creative goals.

By the end of the course you should be able to:
Understand various stencil making techniques and their suitability for desired effects and image
Coat and expose a screen using photographic emulsion and a vacuum press
Use appropriate media and techniques
Apply knowledge of inks and dyes in design and print applications
Use materials and equipment safely and effectively
Lunch and coffee will be provided during the course.
